Back-to-School Crepe Scissor Holders

When I first saw the new Coloring on the Farm fabric line by Crayola® for Riley Blake Designs, I immediately thought “back-to-school.” I thought and thought about what I would make, knowing that with my packed July schedule it would need to be something quick and simple. A friend suggested the Crepe Scissor Case pattern by Minki Kim and I immediately knew it was the perfect thing.

The pattern comes with two size options - the large size fits traditional sewing scissors, and the small size is the perfect thing for these kid safe school scissors.

I LOVE these fabrics with this pattern! These little holders would make the best back-to-school gift for little ones, don’t you think?

The pattern gives the option of using one fabric for the outside of the scissor case, or adding a contrasting fabric for the flap which will show on the front side when the case is closed.

I made two cases with the contrasting flap, and one with just the single print. I love them all!

I used plastic snaps that came in a handy kit with lots of color options and the tools you need to insert the snaps. You can find the kit HERE.
